Here are answers to your frequently asked questions.
In general, admission is free. However, some programs may require an admission fee.
In general, the event proceeds as planned. However, some programs may be canceled in case of rain.
There will be no dedicated parking lots for general visitors at the venue or its vicinity.
We recommend using nearby paid parking lots or public transportation.

The Midosuji Illumination will span approximately 4 km from Umeda to Namba.
Disembark at any station between Umeda Station and Namba Station on the Midosuji Line, and you will encounter the illuminations at all station exits.
Please refer to the official website or guidebook to find your preferred spot.
There will be no dedicated or temporary restrooms for visitors at the venue or its surroundings.
[For individuals]
No permission is required for personal enjoyment. However, please refrain from using large equipment, tripods, or drones, and avoid any activities that may endanger pedestrians or vehicles.
[For businesses and media]
Formal permission is not required for taking photos or videos, but please submit an application via the official Festival of the Lights in Osaka website before publishing or broadcasting.
For shoots involving large equipment or on‑site interviews, coordination with related authorities is necessary.
Wheelchair users can access all areas, but depending on the programs you attend, there may be a need for some detours.
Additionally, you can also use the wheelchair-accessible elevator at Yodoyabashi Station on the Osaka Metro Subway.
Exit Route:
Platform → Elevator → Chunan Exit → Elevator within the Keihan Midosuji Building → Ground Level
Platform → Elevator → Chunan Exit → Elevator within the Yodoyabashi Mitsui Building → Ground Level
The restroom is located on the 1st floor's east and south sides of Osaka City Hall, and it can be used by wheelchair users.
The Rose Garden (East side of Naniwa Bridge/outside the venue) has two accessible toilets.
The accessible toilets are multipurpose and thus have diaper-changing stations too.
The nursing room is located near the south entrance on the 1st floor of Osaka City Hall. It is locked, so please inform nearby staff when you wish to use it.
A first‑aid station is located near the Information Desk, close to Naniwabashi Station.
Please use the lobby inside Osaka City Hall.
Items can be claimed at the Information Desk until December 25th (Thu). Valuables will be turned over nightly to Tenma Police Station after the event ends.
Please contact the Festival of the Lights in Osaka Executive Committee Office for inquiries about lost items.
Unfortunately, we do not provide baggage storage service.
There will be no designated smoking areas within the OSAKA-Renaissance of Light venue.
While pets are not strictly prohibited, we ask that you refrain from bringing them if possible.
